London Marathon 2012 for Sophie
Once again, Sophie Albert, Projects and Account Executive at Fast Floor has decided to challenge herself and run the London Marathon 2012.
Sophie completed her first marathon in April 2011 and since then has continued her training, most recently running the Leicester half marathon and completing it in an impressive, 1 hour and 54 minutes – 4 minutes quicker than her previous year.
With the Olympics just around the corner, the London Marathon is set to be a memorable event; over 35000 people will be taking to the streets of London to run the 26.2 mile course.
Sophie has already began her training and is looking to beat her previous time of 5 hours.
“I really want to achieve a sub 4.30 hour time in 2012, which means two things; train harder and run faster. This year I am running for the Voluntary Association for the Surrey Disabled, which makes the day all the more worth while.
I can not wait for April to arrive, the atmosphere on the day is amazing and it feels like a great achievement at the end of the 26 miles.”
