Sophie Albert completes London Marathon 2012

Once again, Sophie Albert – Projects and Account Manager at Fast Floor has completed the Virgin London Marathon. Sophie has been training extra hard this last year and despite having to overcome several serious injuries, which almost saw her out of the marathon she has managed to beat her previous time.

Completing the marathon in an impressive 4 hours 31 minutes, Sophie managed to improve on her 2011 time by over half an hour, which goes to show that all the hard work and dedication really does pay off.

This year Sophie has been raising money for the Voluntary Association for the Surrey Disabled, who are a small charity helping to improve the lives of people who are both mentally and physically disabled. So far over £800 has been raised for the charity and fundraising is still continuing.

Sophie comments,

“the atmosphere at the marathon this year was absolutely amazing, the crowd were truly fantastic and really do lift your spirits on the day. I am so grateful to everyone who has supported me through my training and to all the people who have sponsored me. I did say that after this year I would give the marathons a rest but I have just applied to do it again in 2013 – I must be mad”.
